The 1st Policy Seminar hosted by The Committee for Democratization of North Korea took place on the 12th of February, 2008, at the Yeouido National Assembly Building. The seminar was organized in the form of a conference, featuring presentations and debates by scholars of unification studies, North Korean studies and law, as well as by North Korean defectors, members of NGOs and activists for human rights in North Korea.
The presentations were divided into three categories, each covering a main topic. The issues discussed were the situation of human rights for overseas defectors, the support for policies regarding defectors who live in South Korea and the role of defectors in preparation of the Korean reunification.
The seminar presentations can be read in Korean.
