NKSC provides a platform for North Korean voices to raise public awareness and understanding of issues regarding North Korea. 


We work internationally, partnering with schools, universities, NGOs, human rights organizations and others to hold events, seminars and meetings that increase public consciousness of human rights issues in North Korea, focusing particularly on issues of freedom of expression and access to information.



Raising Awareness

Unification Education


1. We raise student awareness around the country by running special education programs where students can learn from North Korean defectors.


2. We help students build a vision and action plans for One Korea.


Seminars and Lectures


1. Seminars on politics, economics, military, social and cultural aspects of North Korea and how they affect the human rights conditions in the country.


2. The topics discussed in NKSC’s informal seminars are taken to public seminars to discuss and engage with a wider audience.

International Cooperation



Through active cooperation, citizens of the world and international organizations can prompt greater action.

Education for Young North Korean Defectors



One of our major strategies for or One Korea is building leadership between the defectors through education.
